I’m Courtney and this is my dog, Larry. Adding a ‘Lady and the Tramp’ moment here because research shows you get more likes when you have a dog in your photo. But really, this page is to help you get to know me a bit better so you are inspired to reach out and connect because that is when the real magic happens. Plus, you might be able to meet Larry.
I am experienced.
For the past 17 years of my career I have brought creative projects to life, starting at the birth of an idea and carrying them through until it is live in the world. Most recently I have worked in the advertising, marketing and strategy worlds in Portland, Oregon.
I am more than my job title.
Working at a small agency there isn’t a lot of room for growth when it comes to job titles. My job title is Account Director, but my experience far exceeds what that title suggests. As an Account Director, I have been the lead in account strategy and have managed successful integrated marketing campaigns for brands like Ikon Pass, Nike, Danner, HP, and Amazon. My clients are VPs and in the C-Suite. They lean on me to make their jobs easier. I am accustomed to wearing many hats as well. I’ve been a hybrid AM/PM throughout my career, I lead resourcing meetings, manage agency project managers, support in new business development and pitch hit as production support when help is needed.
I am well versed in the process.
I have many years experience growing and maintaining professional relationships while navigating complexities within different departments within my agency and within my client’s business. I am well versed in brief development that will set internal and external teams up for success. I understand the need to outline goals, objectives and KPIs for each assignment so everyone is aligned on responsibilities to get the project across the finish line while also setting the foundation for post project/campaign learnings. I have robust project management skills gained from years of being an hybrid Account/Project Manager. I possess immaculate attention to detail and the ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously. I am happy to jump in wherever help is needed and no job is ever too large or small.
I believe that what we do is more than just business, it is personal and that is a good thing.
I am fulfilled by making work easier and more enjoyable for my teammates and for my clients. I believe that years down the road we will remember how we felt in during that process over anything else so I strive to make people smile and to succeed.
