DANNER BOOTS
When I joined Nemo Design I was assigned to a new client relationship, Danner Boots. Since 1932 Danner has built their reputation on high quality boots, handcrafted to handle the trails and travails of the Pacific Northwest. They needed a solid brand foundation and guidelines that could unlock clear, cohesive and ironclad storytelling across their six categories; Work, Hunt, Military, Law Enforcement, Hike and Lifestyle.
Work began with a discovery phase to gain insight into existing brand equity, consumer priorities, product needs and the competitive landscape. This information provided the structure for the brand platform—the strategic framework for communication and for the development of a unique design language. These tools informed the message and ensured consistency across all of the brand’s consumer touchpoints.
Once the brand foundation was created it served as the infrastructure for consistent and distinct storytelling and visuals for all of Danner communication touch points—including a series of successful seasonal campaigns that rolled out across the Outdoor, Work and Uniform categories across print, digital and retail.
I was responsible for developing internal briefs that set our creative team up for success, growing the Danner Account from one project to many throughout a multi-year relationship, ensuring projects were on budget and on time, leading Go-to-Marketing Planning meetings and ensuring happy clients.
